Joseph Catalano

JOSEPH CATALANO has been with the firm since 1990. With over 35 years of progressive experience in public accounting, he focuses on accounting and auditing matters, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, business strategy, quality control and is versed in representing clients in tax audits, expatriate taxation, multi-state and local tax compliance, forensic accounting and litigation support. He advises clients headquartered in the USA, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland and Germany in industries as diverse as fashion apparel, wholesale distribution, retail, manufacturing, energy, construction, amusement park rides, cosmetics, freight forwarding, food products, chemicals, publishing, software, executive recruitment and hedge fund management.

Mr. Catalano is often invited to speaking engagements centered on a variety of cross-border issues. On October 21, 2022, at the GGI Global Alliance World Conference in Montreal, Canada, he spoke on US Auditing Reform. Mr. Catalano has a BA from New York University, an MBA in Finance from Pace University and is a licensed CPA in New York and Florida. A member of the American Institute, New York State Society and Florida Institute of CPAs, Joseph Catalano is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant who acts as Funaro & Co., PC’s international liaison to GGI Global Alliance. He has served on the Financial Planning and Control Committee of the NYSSCPA and on the Board of Directors of IECnet, an international association of accountants, auditors and tax consultants located throughout 6 continents. During his tenure with the firm he once worked as an interim CFO of an international steel furnace company.
