Andrea Oggioni

ANDREA OGGIONI has been with the firm since 2006. With more than 18 years of experience in public accounting, Mr. Oggioni specializes in accounting and auditing matters, consulting and due diligence. He is an expert in International Financial Reporting Standards and advises U.S. and European entities in manufacturing, energy, fashion apparel, wholesale and retail operations, food products, automotive, pharmaceuticals, internet and software industries. Mr. Oggioni provides valuable support on U.S. international corporate tax compliance matters including establishing and restructuring the U.S. business operations of private and public foreign-owned multinational groups. He has partnered with his clients by taking a proactive and team-focused approach to develop strategies and applications to help them succeed. In addition, he has guided several start-up companies in establishing their domestic presence.  

Prior to joining Funaro & Co., Mr. Oggioni worked at a Big Four accounting firm in Italy from 2004 to 2006, where he mainly focused on financial audits of manufacturing companies, Sarbanes Oxley (“SOX”) compliance and stock exchange listing procedures. He also served as a senior internal auditor in the headquarters of a Fortune 500 company in Stamford, Connecticut, handling SOX compliance and lending support to multiple executive team special projects.
 
He has a Masters in Business Administration from the Universita’ Carlo Cattaneo in Castellanza, Italy, and is a licensed CPA in Connecticut and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Oggioni served as a guest speaker for several years at the Universita’ Carlo Cattaneo in Castellanza, Italy, teaching the key elements of how to open businesses and conduct their affairs in the USA. He also commented upon the adoption of Italy-US bilateral agreements.
 
Mr. Oggioni is fluent in Italian and English with a strong grasp of conversational French.
