Alessandro-Adelchi Rossi
Alessandro-Adelchi Rossi is the head of the firm's Italian operations. His practice concentrates on structuring for the organization and reorganization of Italian entities with U.S. operations, U.S. and Italian transfer pricing policies for Italian-based multi-national companies, and foreign investment in Italy.
Mr. Rossi graduated, cum laude, from Universitá degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza, and received his M.S. in Taxation from Pace University in New York.
Mr. Rossi is a Dottore Commercialista admitted to practice before the Italian tax court since 1989.
Mr. Rossi speaks regularly on topics including Italian tax, corporate reorganization and U.S. international tax at seminars sponsored by the Council of International Tax Education in New York City. He also has spoken on permanent establishment issues and Italian corporate law at conferences sponsored by Il Sole 24Ore in Milan and by Hofstra University in New York, and on tax treaties as a guest lecturer in the International Tax course of Pace University's Master of Science in Taxation program. He appeared on Italian national television as an expert of U.S. and Italian tax laws.
Mr. Rossi was an assistant lecturer of Business Law in the MBA program of Universitá degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza from 1992 to 1994. In 1993 the Unione Giovani Dottori Commercialisti of Rome awarded him with the "Italo Cesarini" prize for a paper on the roles, under Italian corporate law, of the statutory board of auditors and the independent auditors.
Mr. Rossi is a member of the International Fiscal Association (USA Branch) and serves as an Italian correspondent for Tax Notes International, published in the U.S. by Tax Analysts. His publications include co-authoring a chapter on Italian transfer pricing rules in a treatise entitled Transfer Pricing International: A Country-by-Country Guide (John Wiley and Sons, Inc., 2000, updated and published electronically by the International Tax Institute - www.itinet.org - in 2005) and articles published in the U.S. and Italy by Tax Notes International, BNA Tax Management Transfer Pricing Report, Il Fisco, Il Giornale dei Dottori Commercialisti, Parabancaria, Consulenza and Societá nella U.E.
