Joseph Catalano

Joseph Catalano has been with the firm since 1990. With over 20 years of progressive experience in public accounting, he focuses on accounting and auditing matters, consulting, due diligence, strategy and business development, quality control, financial analysis and is versed in representing clients in tax audits, forensic accounting and litigation support. He advises clients headquartered in the USA, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany and Brazil in industries as diverse as fashion apparel, wholesale distribution, retail, amusement park rides, cosmetics, freight forwarding, food products, chemicals, manufacturing, publishing, software and hedge fund management.

Mr. Catalano is often invited to speaking engagements centered on a variety of cross-border issues. In 2009, he made presentations addressing "International Business" (Lake Tahoe, Nevada, USA), "Europeans in America-costly mistakes to avoid!" (Consulate General of the Czech Republic, New York, USA), "How the Global Financial Crash Affected Offshore Financial Centres" (Marrakech, Morocco) and Survival! Hot Topics in International Taxation and Immigration During Uncertain Economic Times" (Spain - U.S. Chamber of Commerce, New York, USA).

Mr. Catalano has a BA from New York University, an MBA in Finance from Pace University and is a licensed CPA in New York. A member of both the American Institute and New York State Society of CPAs, Joseph Catalano has served on the Financial Planning and Control Committee of the NYSSCPA. He is currently on the Board of Directors of IEC, an international association of accountants, auditors and tax consultants located throughout the 6 continents. During his tenure with the firm he once worked as an interim CFO of an international steel furnace company.
